CLSP Results

Students of Grades 6,7 and 8 are assessed through identification and diagnostics of their learning needs and their potential besides the actual output. Each student’s baseline level is identified through their abilities in core academic skills and their aptitude in core skills.

This is interspersed with GIIS’s unique 9GEMS approach to holistic development, which distinguishes us as one of the best Cambridge primary school in Singapore. With emphasis on overall development besides academics and sports, through artistic pursuits and nurturing of their innovative spirit.

This has resulted in  students of CLSP curriculum proving their mettle in cyclic and term tests.

Data Analytics at GIIS

GIIS chain of schools in singapore has a unique methodology to check the academic and non-academic progress of our students. We have devised methods and installed platforms which give us raw data on students’ performances inside and outside the classroom.

Data Analytics in academics at GIIS is called the 7S method, in which teachers and coordinators gather stats on a student’s marks in seven different areas of development. This includes school, segment, section, subject, subject-teacher, student and summary.

Data Analytics in Sports is called SPEDAS, where devices on playgrounds and on the student’s person, capture on-field movement which is converted to data.

Both data are then studied by the teacher to determine progress of the student in all areas of development, and an assessment is done which helps students understand their strengths and weaknesses

“When I joined GIIS in 2018, I didn’t expect to make any friends and was really scared of not being able to catch up with the classes. But to my surprise, everyone here is really supportive of me and helps me to learn basic concepts again. I was really happy to have teachers who I can rely on when I feel really low and unmotivated with my studies. Even now, in my last final year of the IBDP, GIIS offers me so many great opportunities and gives guidance to those who don’t know what to do later on. I have truly enjoyed my time in GIIS. Even after I graduate, I will come back to say thank you to my teachers who helped me so much along the way.”

I truly appreciate the management and staff at GIIS for their commendable effort in achieving a seamless transition to Home-Based Learning (HBL) during the lockdown and subsequent measures due to Covid-19. Every email from GIIS related to COVID measures showed how professionally they handled the pandemic situation.

“Every teacher and staff in the primary school calls Fuuko by her name when they see her. They all know her well and this makes us feel welcome at GIIS. Fuuko has good teachers and enjoys the school library a lot. From being a shy student when she joined GIIS, she has now become a confident learner who actively participates in her class.”

“Inspite of traveling from Dover everyday, it has been a pleasant surprise to us that Rahul, our younger son, loves to come to school and feels completely at home at GIIS. He is involved in many activities and sports in school and we are extremely glad that GIIS believes in holistic development of its students. Thanks to the teachers for instilling a sense of confidence in the students and encouraging them to make a difference to the community that they live in.“
