DSA is a School admission program in Singapore where a child gets an early admission in a school of their choice. This program provides a chance for talented students to take admission in secondary schools and junior colleges before appearing for national examinations.
Another objective of this program is to authorize secondary schools and junior colleges, to have more autonomy while choosing their students.
For a DSA program, a student can apply as per their particular talent in sports, co-curricular activities, and other specific academic areas.
Self-attested following documents are required for primary school admissions:
● Passport size photo of the student (Some schools may demand a father or mother passport photo, and a family photo including Father, Mother, and the child)
● Residential proof. It includes a Voter ID card, ration card, Passport card, Electricity Bill, Driving License, etc.
● Aadhaar card of the father, mother and the child
● Birth certificate of the child
Below are the general criteria for the Singapore School Admissions.
Please refer to a school’s website for specific requirements for the respective courses:
● Students must possess a basic command of the English Language
● Have an average IQ level or above to access the mainstream curriculum
● Have no primary behavioral difficulties
A valid GRE/GMAT score is required for undergraduate applicants. Applicants from India can use the GATE score of at least 90% percentile in place of GRE.
For the applicants who don’t use English as a native language, a good TOEFL score is required.
Yes, few schools take admissions in mid-year. The great thing about a mid-year entry is that it is available at all levels. From vocational courses to postgraduate degrees, most institutions offer school admissions at mid-year entry.
Apart from primary documents, other necessary documents required are:
● Transfer proof of the parent
● Residence proof of the parent
● Attendance record of the student from the previous school
● Report card of present grade or grade last cleared
● Transfer/School leaving certificate of the student
Yes! We accept admissions in higher grades if a student is meticulous. Based on the previous scores and the history, Global Indian International School, accepts applications to study in higher grades.
Students have to furnish the following documents:
● Annual attendance record of the student for the last school attended
● Report card of the present grade
● School leaving certificate from the previous school
● Moral certificate of the student from the principal of the previous school
● NOC from the previous school
